Welcome to Breckinridge Health's Pain Management Clinic!

What is Chronic Pain?

A few key characteristics of chronic pain are:

  • It is ongoing or recurrent.

  • It lasts beyond the usual course of an acute illness or injury or more than 3 to 6 months.

  • It often negatively impacts an individual’s well-being.

Chronic pain varies in intensity and frequency. Some experience chronic pain constantly, while others only feel it in episodes. In addition to physical effects, chronic pain can have psychological effects, such as fatigue, mood changes, stress, anxiety, depression, irritability, or restless nights of sleep.

Over 50 million Americans suffer from chronic pain – that’s more than diabetes, cancer, coronary heart disease, and most other common conditions.  Chronic pain can diminish your quality of life when it hinders them from participating in everyday activities.  A balanced pain treatment program is an effective way to regain control of your life.

Breckinridge Health offers treatment options to those suffering from debilitating pain.  BHI provides balanced pain treatment for the whole community.

People suffering from debilitating chronic pain should not have to travel far from home for treatment.  Breckinridge Health is committed to providing safe, reliable, and effective pain treatment for the people of our local community.
